When is a Demolition Permit Required?
In Victoria, a demolition permit is typically required when you plan to completely or partially remove a structure, regardless of its size. This includes houses, commercial buildings, and even small sheds. It’s an essential step to ensure safety and compliance with local regulations.
Steps to Obtain Your Demolition Permit:
- Quotation:
Email us your project plans along with an estimated total cost of works for the project and we will provide you with an upfront cost for our services. - Document Preparation:
Prepare essential documents, including a detailed demolition plan, and apply for Demolition Report and Consent from your local council. Your chosen qualified demolition contractor may be able to assist you with this process. Ensure they are also registered with the Victorian Building Authority in the appropriate category. See our downloadable checklist and application form for further information on documentation required. - Application Submission:
