Steps to Obtain Your Commercial & Residential Permit:

  2. Document Preparation:
    Begin by assembling the required documents, including architectural plans, engineering designs etc – see our downloadable document checklist for full requirements.
  3. Application Submission:
    Email your complete permit application to our office staff at [email protected].
  4. Review and Assessment:
    Our Building Surveyors will meticulously
    review your application, checking it against the applicable Building Regulations.
  5. Approval Process:
    Once your application meets all the necessary criteria, we will initiate the approval process, working diligently to expedite this stage.
  6. Permit in Hand:
    Upon approval, you’ll receive your commercial permit from GEBS Building Surveyors. This official document authorizes you to commence your commercial construction project with confidence.
  7. Project Execution:
    Implement your construction plans as outlined in your approved permit, ensuring compliance with all safety measures and environmental guidelines. Our team remains available for ongoing support and consultation. Remember, as the property owner, you are responsible for calling for the appropriate mandatory inspection stages listed on the building permit. Each stage must be approved prior to proceeding to the next stage of construction.
  8. Final Inspection:
    After successful project completion, please complete our application for Occupancy/CFI form and submit all appropriate certificates of compliance as detailed in our checklist. We’ll thoroughly assess your application to ensure it adheres to all applicable regulations and standards.
    Once your application has been assessed we will contact you to book in your final inspection.
  9. Success Achieved:
    With you Final Inspection approved and all compliance certificates submitted, your commercial Occupancy permit or Certificate of Final Inspection will be issued and you have successfully completed your project. We will notify the relevant authorities and provide a copy for your records.
